If confirmed, Russell Vought will return to the White House budget office to help dismantle the so-called deep state.

Vought was a prominent contributor to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 initiative to draft proposals for a second Trump administration.

President-elect Donald Trump has named Russell Vought, a Project 2025 co-author and former director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to resume the role in his second term. Trump praised Vought as a cost-cutter focused on dismantling the “Deep State” and advancing an “America First Agenda.”
